Everyone out here is making use of the opportunity of the 4th of July holiday to travel somewhere except us. My hubby is stuck in this weird project which keeps Go-live during the summer time only when you want to travel places and hence he doesn't have any holiday tomorrow and in the next few weeks. It is extremely frustrating really.
Last
week I was really busy between my course work and freelance projects with
hardly any time left for cooking and so I cooked this easy Chingri Bharta
or Shrimp Mash Up that gets ready within 15 minutes sharp and the taste is just
supremely divine. Hope you people will like it.
Ingredients: Cooking time: 15 minutes
ü 350
gm shrimps
ü 1
large size onion (julienned)
ü 4-5
green chillies (chopped)
ü 4
dry red chillies
ü 6 garlic
cloves
ü 1
tsp turmeric powder
ü Salt
to taste
ü 50
gm coriander leaves (chopped)
ü Generous
amount of mustard oil
Method:
1) Rub
turmeric powder and salt on shrimps and fry them till golden brown in color.
Take them off the flame and keep aside.
2) Into
the same oil, add red chillies and wait till they crackle. Add onion and fry
till golden brown in color.
3) Now
toss the fried shrimps, fried red chillies and onions into a mixer grinder. Add
garlic cloves, green chillies and salt. Add 1 tbsp. mustard oil. Grind
into a coarse mixture.
4)
Garnish with coriander leaves.
5)
Serve hot with rice.
