Croutons

Croutons are small cubes of rebaked breads that are seasoned with spices and used as an accompaniment to different salads and soups. I love my croutons with choco mousse too. In fact, whenever I make a jar of croutons, me and my hubby both taking our turns eat them while watching TV and it all gets polished off within a day. We are one greedy pair!!

Ingredients:
ü  8 slices of white bread (crust removed)
ü  3-4 tbsp of melted butter or olive oil or both combined
ü  1 tsp garlic paste
ü  1 tsp of dried basil or parsley flakes
ü  1 tsp paprika powder (optional)
ü  Salt to taste
Method:
1) Cube the breads as shown in the following pic:

2) Mix in paprika, dried basil, garlic paste and salt with butter. Now coat the bread cubes with this butter mixture. Shake the bowl well to cover every bread piece.

3) Pre-heat oven to 200 degree C and pouring the bread cubes in a baking pan, bake for about 30 minutes. (In between check to see if the croutons are crunchy, stir and toss them over and again bake.)
4) Store them in an air-tight jar.
