Palak Pakoda - Spinach Pakoda

Palak Pakoda is a crispy snack item ideal to have with tea. It is simple and easy to make and tastes great.


2 cups of Spinach (chopped)

1 onion (chopped)

5-6 green chillies

3-4 cloves of garlic (chopped)

3 tbs of gram flour

1 tsp red chilli powder

salt to taste

white oil for cooking


1) In a bowl mix all the ingredients and add 1/2 cup of water or more to bring the batter to smooth consistency.

2) Heat oil in a frying pan and when smoke comes out, add a spoonful of batter into the hot oil and fry pakodas in batches.

3) Serve hot with tomato sauce or casundi.
